Ambition North Wales, as the region's Corporate Joint Committee, is responsible for regional transport planning, regional strategic planning, as well as for enhancing and promoting the economic well-being of North Wales – which includes delivering the region’s Growth Deal

A partnership organisation, Ambition North Wales comprises the region’s six local authorities and the Eryri National Park Authority – aiming to work together to building a vibrant, sustainable and resilient economy for North Wales.

If you are a SME in North Wales, The Green Digital Academy is to support businesses who see the value of using new digital technologies, accelerate efficiency, productivity, carbon reduction and to reduce costs. 


Through the project you will be able to access fully-funded consultancy support in the form of a mentor. The mentor can help you to evaluate your current position and undertake a diagnostic on your business, develop a plan to identify training and funding to support you to reduce your carbon footprint.

It is a publicly-funded service available to all high potential small to medium sized innovation-driven companies, including Innovate UK grant winners.

Business Support 
The support at M-SParc involves nurturing and supporting businesses, helping them to make connections and ensuring tenant companies are part of an eco-system.  

At M-SParc, the Egni team work across a range of projects from supporting the offshore wind sector to new nuclear, from advising companies on how to reduce their carbon footprint to planning how to reach net zero by 2030!

Carbon Literacy 
The team offer carbon literacy training, which is an educational programme designed to increase awareness and understanding of carbon emissions, climate change, and their associated impacts.

Gwasanaeth Ynni provide grant funding, as well as technical, commercial, and procurement advice to develop energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. These projects lower carbon emissions, generate cost savings and income, and deliver wider community benefits.

The Welsh Government is working towards the establishment of Ynni Cymru: a publicly-owned energy company for Wales, with a goal of expanding and investing in community-owned renewable energy generation.

The four objectives of Ynni Cymru are:

  • To optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of locally owned renewable energy use and generation projects
  • To accelerate the transition and deployment of smart local energy systems across Wales
  • To facilitate a just transition to net zero, retaining the benefits for Welsh communities
