The North Wales Corporate Joint Committee Governance and Audit Sub-Committee oversees the Corporate Joint Committee's financial affairs, risk management, internal control, performance management, and corporate governance arrangements. It assesses the Corporate Joint Committee's complaint handling, manages audit processes, and reviews financial statements. The Sub-Committee makes reports and recommendations on these matters, fulfils functions under the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Act 2021, promotes internal audit, and develops an anti-fraud culture. It also considers county-level service observations and monitors responses to audit recommendations. Through these responsibilities, the Sub-Committee ensures effective governance, financial management, and performance of the Corporate Joint Committee.
