Summer 2026 Work Experience

  • Gain hands-on experience in the energy sector and explore careers supporting North Wales’ net zero future.
  • We are offering a work experience placement within our Strategic Energy team. 

Are you:

  • Interested in experiencing what a career in energy in the public sector could look like?
  • Studying a course in energy, sustainability, or environmental management at a North Wales further education organisation?
  • Keen to learn more about energy in North Wales?

The successful intern would:

  • Spend one week with the Strategic Energy Team
  • Attend internal team meetings and, where possible, meetings with external stakeholders
  • Shadow team members to learn about their roles across Ambition North Wales
  • Undertake a personal project contributing to the Strategic Energy Team’s objectives

  • Location: In person at our offices in Llandudno Junction
  • Duration: One week (to be arranged anytime during August or September)
  • Basis: Paid
  • Deadline: Send your CV and letter to us ASAP as work experience must be completed by the end of September.
