Ambition North Wales has kick started its next fundraiser for children’s hospice, Tŷ Gobaith, by taking up the charity’s £50 challenge.

Back in September, Ambition North Wales announced Tŷ Gobaith, as its chosen charity for a year, with staff having already completed sponsored dark runs, hosted a bake sale and made clothing donations.

Tŷ Gobaith’s £50 challenge offers organisations the money in order to generate as much in return as possible for the charity. The team at Ambition North Wales have decided to use the money towards hosting a quiz night, at which it aims to multiply the original donation as much as possible.

The quiz will take place from 6.30pm-9.30pm on Thursday 18 April at M-SParc, Gaerwen, Anglesey. Tickets are £5 (plus booking fee) per person and include the quiz, entertainment and light refreshments. Guests are also able to bring along their own refreshments, including alcoholic drinks if they so wish. There will also be a raffle on the night.

Tickets can now be purchased at Eventbrite via bit.ly/cwis, or if people can’t make the evening, but would like to make a donation, it’s possible to do so via JustGiving.

Daniel Evans, Energy Project Manager, Ambition North Wales - who is also leading the fundraising efforts, said:

“We love a challenge here at Ambition North Wales, so jumped at the chance to raise some more money for Tŷ Gobaith. The quiz night is already proving popular, so we’d urge people to get their tickets now as we only have a limited number.

“We’ve already had so much support with M-SParc donating the venue for the quiz, Becws Môn the tea, coffee and biscuits and Lafan providing crisps for guests. Our staff and others are donating prizes for a raffle and we hope to be able to run an auction too.”

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ambition North Wales for the hospices.

“Their enthusiasm to participate in various activities, such as Dark Runs, cake sales, and donating 20 bags of clothes, is truly appreciated and we’re looking forward to going along to their quiz night in April.”

Tŷ Gobaith, children’s hospice, was opened in Conwy in 2004 – providing vital services for families across North Wales. It was the second hospice opened by Hope House, which now supports 750 families.

Ambition North Wales plans to run a second quiz later in the year in eastern North Wales.
